Services

The Balanced Worker Project™ works with senior corporate managers, professional service firm partners, seasoned workers, new hires and graduate students (particularly Law and MBA) to develop solutions for more effective and productive workplaces. The Balanced Worker Project TM also builds bridges of communication between the different generations and genders at work and the mentor/mentee connection. Strategic business planning initiatives are provided to clients for the benefit of the following organizational groups:

Senior Corporate Managers and Professional Service Firm Partners

Programming provides skills to senior professionals to effectively communicate with new hires. The impact improves retention rates among new recruits and enhances existing mentoring programs. Programming topics include generational diversity, gender bias, mentoring protocol, time management, performance review feedback skills and policy development for balancing work and life demands with today's new workers.

"Judith Finer Freedman led an in-depth CPD approved seminar with our senior partners on the issues mentors face with the new generation of associates. She armed our partners with practical advice and real world examples to solidify their mentoring relationships. Ms. Finer Freedman has a keen understanding of the legal profession and was able to engage our lawyers by demonstrating a knowledge of our culture."

Seasoned Workers

Seminars have been specifically designed to address the dilemmas both women and men face in balancing work and home demands while maintaining their status as committed professionals. Participants learn practical tips and techniques to improve their dual role of worker and caregiver.

"Your presentation was wonderful and my co-workers are still talking (well actually gushing) about your performance and discussion. I am so glad you were able to speak to our group and I really believe your presentation provoked some serious thinking and reassessments among the attorneys and paralegals."
Excetral K. Caldwell

New Hires

New hires are transitioning to the workplace and are often unaware of the barriers that exist as a result of generational differences. Programming provides them with solution-focused steps to build and safeguard their career track.

"The Women Student Association at the Harvard Business School was delighted to have Judith Finer Freedman give a workshop to our MBAs. Students appreciated her insights about the job place in the context of the very uncertain times of the economic crisis, and walked away with tips on how to strategize about their workplace interactions. Judith has great energy and charisma and was a pleasure to have her as a guest. We look forward to having her again in the future."

Graduate Students

The Balanced Worker Project™ seminars have been welcomed in law and graduate MBA programs in the U.S. and Canada. Participants learn skills to navigate the workplace culture effectively. Core curriculum topics are building equity through skill development, learning essential workplace protocols and choosing an employer that fits one's values.

"Judith's presentation at the University of Houston Law Center drew the attention and attendance of both our female and male students. She is an excellent speaker, drawing on research from many disciplines to create a most informative and holistic picture of the employment market. Her presentation generated more student insight and follow up counseling appointments than any other program!"
