Judith Finer Freedman helps workers
fulfill their career dreams without giving up their life dreams…

Ms. Finer Freedman is an internationally recognized researcher and lecturer on the dynamics of generational diversity, gender bias, mentoring, and work-life effectiveness. She founded The Balanced Worker Project™ where she provides career enhancing advice to client groups such as managers, service firm partners, seasoned workers, new hires, and graduate students. There are specific initiatives for the legal profession with particular emphasis on initiatives for senior partners on generational diversity and mentoring and for associates on generational differences and work-life effectiveness. The Balanced Worker Project™ was chosen as a "Promising Practice" by the Business and Professional Women Foundation and was highlighted in their
Successful Workplaces Digest.

She is an article reviewer for
Workspan, the magazine of World at Work® and the Alliance for Work-Life Progress® (AWLP) and an active member of the National Association for Women Lawyers (NAWL). She was a moderator at the "Ready to On-Ramp" summit that was designed to guide women lawyers returning to the workplace after a hiatus. She is listed on the Speaker's Bureau of the Network of Executive Women (NEW).
A native of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Ms. Finer Freedman earned her Bachelor's degree in Advertising from the University of Texas at Austin and her Master's degrees in Advertising from Northwestern University and in Counseling Psychology from The University of Toronto. She expects to receive her doctorate in Counseling Psychology from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) at The University of Toronto in the upcoming academic year. Her doctoral research involves a qualitative study of the dynamics of flexible workplace policies. Most importantly, she is a working mother with three children and identifies with parents on the issue of work-life effectiveness.
Ms. Finer Freedman has 25 years of business experience in the U.S. and Canada. She was formerly a Mentor for the U.S. Department of Labor, Women's Bureau. Prior to founding The Balanced Worker Project™, she held various roles as Career Coach, Marketing Manager, Human Resource Specialist in Succession Planning and Organizational Training and Development, and a University Lecturer.
